Ocean Sprints pres. by Taco Bravo Round #6 on the docket for June 16thracepmg
Watsonville, CA – After taking a week off, the Ocean Sprints pres. by Taco Bravo championship is back in action this Friday. Last time out, Watsonville’s Justin Sanders took his second win of the season after a heartbreaking engine failure for Selma’s Cory Eliason saw his bid for a third win of the year fall just one lap short. Justin Sanders holds a 28 point lead over Sebastopol’s Geoff Ensign in the point standings. Stockton’s Brad Furr sits in third, 47 points out of the lead. Ensign and Furr are both looking for their first win of 2017 at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds quarter-mile.
Important note: A misunderstanding between the track and IMCA when the schedule was originally released meant that the Sport Mods were erroneously removed from the June 16th program. Again, this was a mistake and we apologize for the confusion. The IMCA Sport Mods WILL race June 16th for their 8th race of 2017.
The American Stocks, 4-Bangers and the third Police-N-Pursuit race of 2017 are also scheduled for a five division program. Pits open at 2pm and Grandstands open at 4:30pm. Pit passes are $45 for non-members and $40 for track and IMCA members. 2017 memberships are still available at the pit gate. All seating is general admission and tickets cost $17 for adults and $16 for seniors. New for 2017, Juniors 12-15 are $12 and Kids 6-11 are $6. As always, Kids 5 and under are free.
The California Highway Patrol’s Jesse Mueller is undefeated in Police-N-Pursuit action this year. Can he make it 3 for 3 Friday night?
