Ocean Sprints pres. by Taco Bravo season gets underway Friday, April 28racepmg
Watsonville, CA – Two rain outs and a scheduled off week pushed the season opener for the Ocean Sprints back farther than anticipated. Some of the best talent on the West Coast is expected to compete Friday evening, with past champions Shane Golobic of Fremont, Watsonville’s Justin Sanders, and Stockton’s Brad Furr all expected. One of the hottest drivers thus far in 2017, Cory Eliason of Kingsburg, is also expected to make an appearance with Antaya Motorsports, among a sizable group of other. This Friday will be the first in a 14 race series for the Ocean Sprints, down from 16, due to the rain outs.
The IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportMods, American Stocks, 4-Bangers, and the South Bay Dwarf Cars also join the jam packed night’s program. Pits open at 2pm and Grandstands open at 4:30pm. Pit passes are $45 for non-members and $40 for track and IMCA members. 2017 memberships will be for sale at the pit gate. All seating is general admission and tickets cost $17 for adults and $16 for seniors. New for 2017, Juniors 12-15 are $12, Kids 6-11 are $6, and Kids 5 and under are free.
